Horsetail Falls from Sentinel Dome

Horsetail Falls is glowing again–or it would be if there was more water! We’re at the annual bookend to the glowing light in February. I took this shot from the base of Sentinel Dome after work this week.

Today’s image brings to mind the scriptural quote “Suffer the little children, and forbid them not”. What drew me to this pictures is the implication that an ephemeral Jesus image does little to alleviate the poverty of the children at his feet. Note the taped-over crack in the window.

This particular image reminds me of a time in my life when I carried a 7′ albino Burmese python on my shoulders in Provincetown, MA. Good times, good times!

Today’s image show’s Harold’s affection for his human subjects. Note the freckles on the shoulders of the man laying down.

Today’s image really struck me because of the implied movement. The window-washer’s brush leaves a trail of suds, swirling and looping on the glass. His arm reaches out, his body leaning. There’s tension in the straps that hold him. But what really caught me was the flight of birds on the left side of the image, slightly blurred.
