One of my favorite blogs has a most excellent post up today.  ”How to create a video masterpiece (and get 100,000 YouTube views)” teaches, well, what the title says.  Be sure to watch the one with the wolf chasing the pig!

Mr. Alan Ross

I was very flattered when I received notification that Alan Ross had decided to follow my Twitter stream–I’d met him briefly when he’d come to Yosemite to re-photograph Ansel’s Moon Over Half Dome several years ago.  Mr. Ross was one of Ansel’s assistants, and has established himself as a photographic artist in his own right.

I had the pleasure of visiting him on my return trip recently, and meeting his gracious wife and two gregarious dogs.  I am also pleased to say that I finally have “stepped foot” into a darkroom, an auspicious first.  Thank you to Alan for his hospitality!

San Miguel Mission is the oldest church building in the United States of America.  It’s located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe, and was built between 1610 and 1626.

I made a side trip up to Santa Fe to visit master photographer Alan Ross, and while there spent a pleasant morning exploring the downtown historic district. This image is of the Pink Adobe, across from San Miguel Mission.
