Clouds Rest with Alpenglow

A longtime reader and commenter recently visited Yosemite, and we had the pleasure of meeting and talking while she was here. Karen asked about alpenglow on Clouds Rest. Depending on the time of year, yes, there is alpenglow on the peak. Here’s a shot from Olmsted Point, taken in September of this year.
Thanks for this photo. I sent it to my brother. He’s the one who hiked with me up Snow Creek a ways for a similar view (only not at sunset) Did you say you took this shot from Olmsted Point?
