Taken last Sunday when there was only a touch of smoke from the wild fires here in California. Indian Paintbrush is blooming, along with the white yarrow, a non-native species. John Muir Trail, below the Panorama Cliffs
Very nice compositionally, Edie. The waterfall and the ridgeline unconsciously form an X that helps keep the viewers eye inside the frame and the Paint Brush almost
do the same in the bottom 1/3rd of the frame. Well done… only critique I can think of is maybe to crop just a titch of the green off the bottom to give the image a little more impact. But overall KUDOS…. nice image;-)
I remember when you lived in Hawaii and I asked you what that was like living in such a beautiful place. Your response to me was, ‘even paradise can get boring’. Bet you weren’t taking photographs back then….lol.
You’re so right, Cindy! I remember that. Of course, paradise was a rather small island, and yes, I wasn’t taking pictures. No regrets, however. I don’t think I could have been a good photographer back then.
